We couldn't think about a better topic than to talk about the people behind fleck as our first blog post. There is a great deal to tell about the characters, personalities and aspirations of the artisans we work with.
Behind our upcoming rattan collection is one-man army, Mahesh. Born in Moradabad city, Mahesh has been weaving rattan, cane, threads since 1980. Father to three sons and a daughter, he learned weaving by shadowing the contractor he used to work with. Mahesh enjoys working in the outdoors and is often found sitting in the factory garden whenever the weather is kind.
He likes travelling to Delhi to see the architecture & historical buildings and enjoys watching television in his free time.
